A cacophony of anthrophonic, biophonic, and geophonic sounds co-opt the iconic images of “nature” we have come to expect in the traditions of both landscape photography and documentary film. Visual knowledge is further disrupted by failed attempts at inscription and their rapid dissolution. Spatiotemporal scales collapse in on themselves, and the viewer is left to ponder how we can ever be consoled for such continual losses.
