What happens to a film when we privilege the sonic above the visual? When the aesthetic is encountered apart from the rational?

How do we understand a landscape when its aural and physical phenomena co-opt its image? When our mark, even in passing, is always already indelible?

Part of a multi-year collaboration with musician and composer Jessica KilroyCacophony will explore the role of sound in the interactions between humans and the natural environment. This installation piece utilizes video, hand-drawn animation, and 8-channel sound composition. Expected completion in 2018.
